I am on Garance Doré !

This morning I woke up to a lovely surprise... I am featured on one of my favorite blogs Garance Doré.
We met and she decided I was stylish enough to merit a mention.
I am so flattered!
She has the best eye, the yellow of the T-shirt is repeated in the writing on the window,
my old beat up Hermes Kelly mirrors the peeling door frame.
Garance is so upbeat and positive and makes you really feel relaxed and at ease.
She can walk, talk, direct and smile while she is photographing!
I have never seen anything like it, so at ease with herself and sure of her talent!
Just an amazing lady.

The $20 Portrait

It was my fathers birthday in September and I had no idea what to give him as a present. 

So when I was strolling around Central Park, I found the solution. 

A portrait! It seemed a little vain, but parents always want a picture of their children, I reasoned. 

So after some bargaining I sat down and the gentleman started sketching away and before I knew it, 

a small crowd of tourists had gathered, commenting loudly in German (which I speak). 

Oh, the torture! 

My dad was happy to receive the portrait and even framed it to hang it in his office. 

Success!

Oscar de la Renta Pre-fall 2011

This was a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2011 Show. A riot of colors, perfect embroideries, exotic patterns and the best fabrics man can buy... Even better close-up, the quality is Haute-Couture. One piece after another was breath-taking, I am so happy I was invited to see everything from a short distance. I am feeling inspired to let more color into my life and not only to wear my old black, navy off-white and brown colors. Color me happy !
What a delicious treat on an otherwise gloomy Monday afternoon.
