Visit the 'Neue Gallerie' if you are in NYC
BRÜCKE: THE BIRTH OF EXPRESSIONISM IN DRESDEN AND BERLIN, 1905-1913
February 26-June 29, 2009
The 'Neue Gallerie' is the Museum for German and Austrian Art in New York, just across the street from the Metropolitan Museum. I went see this exhibition and I was impressed. Powerful, raw and emotional artwork, beautifully curated 100 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper, this will be the first major exhibition in the United States to focus on the pioneering artists of the Expressionist group known as the Brücke.
