I never thought of myself as a Cat Person, but several years ago a black kitten was found by my dog in the garden after a devastating storm. The poor little thing was clearly orphaned, starving, dehydrated, and barely dragging a broken hind leg. A sick, black cat has a nearly zero chance of adoption in my town, but my vet thought she could help. The little kitten was taped up and I brought her back home with antibiotics.. My dog did her part, producing milk and literally nursing her back to health. The cat is on my lap now and the dog is at my feet. How lucky am I?

wonderful piece. I'm scooping up the image of Tru. I love that man and his writing....
Terrific post Ulla! I can't decide which I want more: Truman Capote's glasses or Clark Gable's Siamese cat! Reggie
(BTW, please email me I can't find yours and I'd love to take you up on your suggestion of a little while ago...)
I can't stop smiling.
And my cat, Nadine, is sitting on my desk right next to me; she wants me to take her outside :)
